A citation is a mention of your hotel name, address and phone number (NAP) on another site. Consistent, relevant citations help Google trust that your property is real, where it says it is and active.

Fix Your NAP First

Write one exact version of your name, address, phone and website. Use it everywhere, down to abbreviations like "St." versus "Street".

Prioritize Hospitality and Tourism Sources

Start with Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect, TripAdvisor, and your tourism board and chamber of commerce. Add regional guides, boutique hotel collections and local event sites.

Clean Up Duplicates

Search for old names, former phone numbers and duplicate listings. Claim and correct them or request removal.

Skip Low-Quality Directories

Generic mass-submission directories add little and can add noise. A smaller set of accurate, relevant listings is better.

Audit Twice a Year

Re-check major listings after any change of name, number or management, and at least every six months.
